A plurality of solar photovoltaic modules disposed in spaced apart relationship to define gaps between adjacent modules in an array of spaced apart rows, and the modules mounted on corresponding supports are spaced apart from the surface to define air gaps therebetween, wherein at least one connector attaches a corresponding adjacent module to resist wind lift while generating power. A method is disclosed for arranging interconnected solar photovoltaic modules in a spaced apart relationship to resist wind lift while generating power.
