The embodiment of the invention provides a europium hafnate material, a preparation method and application, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing a solution containing europium ions and a solution containing hafnium ions to obtain a mixed solution containing europium and hafnium ions; carrying out coprecipitation reaction on the mixed solution containing europium and hafnium ions to obtain a europium hydroxide and hafnium hydroxide coprecipitation precursor; calcining the dried europium hydroxide and hafnium hydroxide coprecipitation precursor in a muffle furnace to obtain mixed powder of europium oxide and hafnium oxide; and carrying out ball milling on the mixed powder of europium oxide and hafnium oxide, and sieving after ball milling to obtain ball-milled fine powder, namely the europium hafnate material. According to the europium hafnate material disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, europium oxide and hafnium oxychloride are dissolved into dilute solutions and then mixed and precipitated, so that the uniformity of chemical components of the material can be remarkably improved, and the service stability of the material under working conditions is favorably improved; the problem that in the prior art, the material uniformity of the europium hafnate material is difficult to guarantee in the sintering preparation process is solved.
