The invention discloses a glazed decorative brick or building block production method, which comprises: 1, airing or drying a green body raw material, crushing into particles, adding water to prepare a mixture, aging, adding water, uniformly stirring, and extruding or carrying out compression molding to obtain a green body; 2, weighing quartz, potassium feldspar, albite, wollastonite and frit, adding water, performing ball milling, then adding a coloring agent, and performing screening, iron removal and aging to obtain glaze; and 3, glazing and printing the cleaned and sprayed biscuit with glaze to form a glaze layer, and drying and sintering to obtain the glazed sintered brick or building block. The preparation method of the glaze surface and the preparation method of the biscuit are combined, and the glaze formula and the preparation process of the biscuit are adjusted, so that the bonding performance between the green body and the glaze surface is improved, and the problem of adaptability between the green body and the glaze caused by the change of the green body is solved; the obtained glazed decorative brick or building block has the advantages of light weight, energy conservation, heat insulation, moisture and water resistance, pollution resistance, easiness in cleaning and attractiveness.
