The invention discloses a structure for carrying out fireproof protection on a steel column. The structure comprises a partition plate, a purline, an inner rock wool plate and a fireproof plate. The partition plates are connected into the grooves and divide the grooves into a plurality of cavities arranged in the length direction of the steel column. The purlines are connected to the periphery of the steel column and connected with the partition plates. And the inner rock wool boards are filled in the cavities. The fireproof plate wraps the periphery of the steel column and is connected with the purline. According to the technical scheme, fire prevention of the steel column is completed through the fireproof plates, and the problem that the implementation condition required by brushing of a thick fireproof coating cannot be met in the low-temperature severe environment in winter is solved. Meanwhile, standardization of all components of the fireproof plate is achieved, and machining and mounting quality is easier to guarantee. The fireproof plates are assembled in a dry mode, and construction standardization requirements are met. The fireproof plate is firmer, safer, smooth in appearance and better in visual effect.
