The embodiment of the invention discloses a damping support and transformer equipment. The damping support comprises a shell, a hydraulic damper, a main shaft and a cover plate. The shell is provided with a containing cavity and an opening communicated with the containing cavity, the cover plate is arranged at the opening, and a through hole is formed in the center of the cover plate; the main shaft penetrates through the through hole and is in sealed connection with the hole wall of the through hole, the main shaft comprises a first shaft body located in the containing cavity and a second shaft body located outside the containing cavity, and the second shaft body is used for being connected with the transformer body; the hydraulic dampers are annularly arranged on the first shaft body, one end of each hydraulic damper is rotationally connected with the first shaft body, and the other end of each hydraulic damper is movably connected with the side wall of the containing cavity. The hydraulic damper is used for providing the horizontal damping force instead of a mode that a plurality of parts need to be matched with one another in a traditional friction pendulum support, and the hydraulic damper is rotationally connected with the main shaft, so that the connecting mode is easy, the number of the parts of the damping support is reduced, and the damping support is convenient to disassemble and assemble.
