The invention belongs to the technical field of engineering construction, and particularly relates to a protective fence for engineering construction, which comprises a support column, an upper cross rod, a lower cross rod, upper elastic shielding cloth, lower elastic shielding cloth, a cross rod locking part, a first magnet and a lifting part, the supporting column is inserted into soil, then the lifting part on the transverse rod is pulled by hand, the transverse rod which is originally attracted to the supporting column through the first magnet and folded is pulled away from the supporting column, then the transverse rod rotates around the connecting point of the transverse rod and the supporting column through the lifting part, and then the transverse rod drives the transverse rod locking component to rotate; the transverse rods are connected to the adjacent supporting columns through the transverse rod locking parts, then the elastic shielding cloth is driven to be unfolded through the transverse rods, and then an engineering construction area is isolated from the outside world, due to the fact that the transverse rods only need to be rotationally pulled open and connected with the adjacent supporting columns in the building process, separation of channels between the supporting columns can be achieved; and therefore, the building of the fence can be quickly completed, and the building efficiency is improved.
