The invention relates to an anchor rail (1) which is C-shaped in cross section and is cast with concrete, wherein a lip (11) adjoining a slit-shaped opening (9) is reinforced. In order to achieve a high holding force that prevents the hammer element from being pulled out, the invention proposes that the positioning angle assumes a maximum value in a region closer to the side wall (10) than to the opening (9).
