The invention provides a temporary supporting device and method for a large-span hyperbolic truss of a dome cinema, and belongs to the technical field of building construction. The temporary supporting device for the large-span hyperbolic truss of the dome cinema comprises a limiting frame, a supporting frame and a base which are arranged in sequence; the limiting frame comprises two pieces of supporting steel symmetrically installed on the supporting frame, and the two pieces of supporting steel are provided with movable limiting parts capable of sliding oppositely. The movable limiting part comprises a movable plate, two fixing bases are symmetrically fixed to the movable plate, a connecting shaft penetrating out of shaft holes of the fixing bases is arranged between the two fixing bases, the two ends of the connecting shaft are sleeved with blocking arms, and a blocking frame is fixed between the two blocking arms. The transmission mechanism of the base can enable the turntable to rotate clockwise or anticlockwise and can also adapt to the radian of the hyperbolic truss; and meanwhile, the driving assembly can be driven in two modes, however, more labor can be saved by adopting the second step-on mode, and therefore the labor intensity is reduced.
