The invention relates to the technical field of road roller control, and particularly discloses a large-tonnage independently-driven single-steel-wheel road roller which comprises a bottom frame and a hydraulic walking system arranged on the bottom frame, and the hydraulic walking system comprises a front walking pump, a rear walking pump, a steel wheel motor, an axle drive motor and two electromagnetic valves; an oil outlet of the front walking pump is connected with an oil inlet of the steel wheel motor; an oil outlet of the steel wheel motor is connected with an oil inlet of the front walking pump; an oil outlet of the rear walking pump is connected with an oil inlet of the bridge drive motor; an oil outlet of the axle drive motor is connected with an oil inlet of the rear walking pump; an oil outlet of the front walking pump is connected with an oil outlet of the rear walking pump through an electromagnetic valve; an oil inlet of the front walking pump is connected with an oil inlet of the rear walking pump through an electromagnetic valve. Compared with the prior art, the front steel wheel and the driving wheel can be independently driven, and the driving capacity is enhanced; and under the condition of inconsistent current loads or reverse dragging, the pressure balance of the front steel wheel and the driving wheel can be realized.
