The invention discloses a suspension bridge stiffening beam hoisting method which comprises the following steps: presetting hoisting openings, setting sections S4-S6 as the hoisting openings, and hoisting sections S30 and S29 as well as sections S30'and S29 'below mounting positions through cables; middle hoisting is conducted, specifically, middle stiffening beams are hoisted and installed, and after the S0 section stiffening beams and the S0 'section stiffening beams are connected, the remaining stiffening beams are hoisted alternately; a main body is hoisted, specifically, the S7 section of stiffening beam is hoisted firstly, then the S8 section of stiffening beam is hoisted, then the S9-S28 sections of stiffening beams are hoisted and installed, the prepared S29 section of stiffening beam and the S29'section of stiffening beam are hoisted in sequence through a cable crane and connected with the corresponding S28 section of stiffening beam and the S28 'section of stiffening beam, and then the corresponding S30 section of stiffening beam and S30' section of stiffening beam are gradually loosened and connected with the corresponding S29 section of stiffening beam and S29 'section of stiffening beam; and finally, the stiffening beams of the S4 section, the S6 section and the S6 section are hoisted.
