The invention relates to a switch cabinet change-over switch directional limiting device which comprises a base arranged on a switch cabinet panel, a control lock body and a limiting assembly, the control lock body and the limiting assembly are arranged on the base, a local/remote button is arranged on the switch cabinet panel, and the local/remote button is located in the base; the limiting assembly is rotationally connected with the base, and the limiting assembly is matched with the local/remote button to limit rotation of the local/remote button; a positioning assembly is further arranged on one side of the control lock body, and the positioning assembly is matched with the control lock body and used for limiting the insertion tongue of the control lock body from stretching out of the control lock body. The structure is simple, when the local/remote button is rotated to the'remote 'position, the key cannot be pulled out, and therefore the situation that maintenance or local operators forget to rotate the local/remote button to the local position is avoided.
