The invention provides equipment for removing floating objects on the water surface and a using method. The equipment comprises a buoyancy device used for providing buoyancy support for the whole equipment. A water inlet filtering device for filtering a water body is mounted at the bottom of the buoyancy device through a lifting device; the bottom end of the inlet water filtering device is communicated with one end of the pipeline; a power pump for pumping water is mounted on the pipeline; and a water outlet is formed in the tail end of the pipeline at the water outlet of the power pump. The buoyancy device comprises a plurality of buoyancy balls, and the buoyancy balls are fixedly connected through floating ball supports to form an integral structure. The equipment can be used for efficiently collecting and cleaning the floating objects on the surface of the urban water body, a traditional manual collecting process is replaced, and then the floating object collecting efficiency is effectively improved; the quality of the water body is ensured.
