The invention discloses cement prepared from tungsten tailings and a preparation method of the cement, the cement comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 30-50% of cement clinker, 40-60% of modified tungsten tailings, 6% of limestone and 4% of gypsum, and the modified tungsten tailings are powder formed by mixing and grinding tungsten tailings and industrial slag after adding an exciting agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, crushing and grinding limestone, and controlling the specific surface area to obtain a material I; s2, crushing cement clinker, adding gypsum, grinding, and controlling the specific surface area to obtain a material II; s3, tungsten tailings and industrial slag are dried and crushed, an exciting agent is added, mixing and grinding are conducted after 1 h, the specific surface area is controlled, and modified tungsten tailings are obtained; and S4, uniformly mixing the material I, the material II and the modified tungsten tailings to prepare the cement prepared from the tungsten tailings. The prepared cement is low-clinker prepared cement with various performance indexes meeting national standards, the clinker consumption can be reduced, carbon dioxide emission can be reduced, tungsten tailings can be recycled, and resource waste can be reduced.
