The invention particularly relates to a modular assembly type steel structure system. The modular assembly type steel structure system comprises steel structure modules and connecting assemblies. Wherein the steel structure module comprises a frame box body and a plurality of short-span lateral force resisting assemblies, and the frame box body comprises four top module beams, four bottom module beams and four module columns. The short-span lateral force resisting assembly comprises two connecting plates arranged in the height direction in a spaced mode and a short-span structure arranged between the two connecting plates, one of the two connecting plates is in sliding connection with the bottom module beam, and the other connecting plate is in sliding connection with the top module beam. The connecting assemblies are used for connecting the two adjacent steel structure modules. According to the modular assembly type steel structure system, the short-span lateral force resisting assembly is movably installed between the bottom module beam and the top module beam, the lateral stiffness of the stack box module structure can be improved, meanwhile, the requirements for design, later-stage transformation and reconstruction after dismantling are met, and cyclic utilization of the steel structure module is achieved.
