The invention discloses a metal reinforced silicon carbide cladding tube and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of the metal reinforced silicon carbide cladding tube comprises the following steps: S1, respectively obtaining a metal inner tube and a SiCf/SiC composite tube; s2, the metal inner pipe is inserted into the SiCf/SiC composite pipe; and S3, the metal inner pipe is subjected to plastic deformation treatment, so that the metal inner pipe is tightly attached to the SiCf/SiC composite pipe, and the metal reinforced silicon carbide cladding pipe is formed. The high-compactness metal inner pipe is arranged in the SiCf/SiC composite pipe, the cladding pipe of a double-layer structure is obtained, the air tightness of the cladding pipe is improved, and the fission gas release risk is reduced; the metal inner pipe and the SiCf/SiC composite pipe are tightly attached in a plastic deformation mode, generation of by-products on the metal inner pipe and the SiC interface is effectively reduced, and the cladding reliability is improved.
