The rotational flow vertical shaft flood discharge structure is provided with a volute chamber and a water cushion chamber. A contraction section is formed at the bottom of the volute chamber and communicates with the water cushion chamber through a vertical shaft straight section, a slope pressing section is arranged on one side of the communicating portion of the vertical shaft straight section and the water cushion chamber, the outer side of the slope pressing section communicates with a flood discharging tunnel body, and the top end of the flood discharging tunnel body is connected with a ventilation vertical shaft. A preset part of the vertical shaft straight section annularly expands outwards to form an annular aerator; supporting columns are distributed in the annular aerator, and the top end of the annular aerator communicates with the ventilation vertical shaft through a ventilation pipe.
