The invention relates to the technical field of dustproof sheds, in particular to a dustproof shed and method for GIS equipment installation. A dustproof shed comprises a dustproof shed body, and the dustproof shed body is movably arranged in the direction of a bus tube through a walking mechanism. An independent mounting space is formed in the dustproof shed main body, and a hoisting mechanism and an environment monitoring device are arranged in the mounting space; the dustproof shed body is provided with a flexible door assembly used for being matched with the corresponding end of the bus tube, and the flexible door assembly is provided with a sealing mechanism used for being matched with the side wall of the bus tube. By means of the arrangement, the environment requirement of installation personnel during installation of the bus cylinder is well met; the invention further provides an installation method for the GIS equipment. The installation method is realized by adopting the dustproof shed for installing the GIS equipment.
