The invention relates to the technical field of steel bar connection, in particular to a quick-inserting type steel bar connector which comprises a sleeve, a connecting piece, a spring and a clamping piece. The sleeve comprises a first sleeve body and a second sleeve body which are the same in structure, the first sleeve body and the second sleeve body are connected through a connecting piece, one end of the sleeve is a reinforcing steel bar inserting end, the other end of the sleeve is a connecting end, the interior of the sleeve is of a hollow cavity structure, and an inserting opening, a clamping piece cavity and the connecting end are sequentially arranged in the sleeve from the inserting end to the connecting end. The clamping piece cavity is a conical cavity, four clamping plates are arranged on the inner wall of the clamping piece cavity, and the periphery of the conical cavity is evenly divided into four inserting grooves for containing the clamping pieces by the four clamping plates. The inner walls of the clamping pieces are provided with steel bar meshing teeth. And the spring always keeps the pushing force of the clamping piece towards the direction of the insertion opening. Connection can be completed only by inserting the ends of the steel bars without assistance of additional connecting equipment, time and labor are saved, connection is convenient and fast, connection is stable and firm, and the efficiency and quality of building construction are greatly improved.
