The invention discloses a locking mechanism for a tail gate of an amphibious armored vehicle. The locking mechanism comprises an in-vehicle handle, an out-vehicle handle, a key pin, a spline shaft, a torsion spring, a fixed support, a limiting cover, an adjusting lead screw, a locking seat, a locking block, an adjusting handle, a rolling pulley, a plunger latch, a moving head, a spline housing, a plum blossom sleeve, a stop pin and an end cover. A key pin is arranged in a lock hole of the handle outside the automobile, and the inner end of the key pin is fixed in a counter bore in the limiting cover; the key pin is in threaded connection with the outside-car handle, and the limiting cover is welded to the tail gate. The spline shaft penetrates through a center hole of the limiting cover and extends into the vehicle body, a sealing ring is arranged between the spline shaft and the center hole, and a force transmission hole of the vehicle outer handle is matched with the outer end of the spline shaft. The stop pin is arranged on the inner handle, and automatic opening under the non-subjective operation condition can be prevented.
