A remote safety release device for a safety switch comprises: an actuator (13) adapted to interact with a locking mechanism of an associated switch (1) to cause a forced release thereof, the actuator (13) being adapted to move between an inoperative position in which it does not interact with the locking mechanism and at least one operative position in which it interacts with the locking mechanism; a remote control device (14) adapted to be driven by an operator to remotely control the actuator (13) and urge it to move from a non-working position to a working position; a transmission mechanism (15) adapted to transmit a force from the remote control device (14) to the actuator (13) according to a command given by an operator to facilitate movement of the actuator (13). The transmission mechanism (15) is adapted to apply a first request to the actuator (13) to facilitate its automatic transition from the inoperative position to the operative position, while the remote control device (14) continuously applies a second control request to the actuator (13) to facilitate its automatic transition from the inoperative position to the operative position. The second control request is opposite the first request and has at least an equal value to cancel the first request and maintain the actuator (13) in the inoperative position, allowing the actuator (13) to automatically transition from the inoperative position to the operative position in the absence of the second request to release the locking mechanism.
