The invention provides light UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete) steel tube concrete and a preparation method thereof. The lightweight UHPC provided by the invention comprises the pre-wetted lightweight aggregate and the expanding agent, the lightweight UHPC is poured into the steel pipe to obtain the steel pipe concrete, and under the matching action of the pre-wetted lightweight aggregate and the expanding agent, a large amount of Ca (OH) 2 and AFt (ettringite) with an expansion effect are generated in the core concrete; meanwhile, due to the sealing effect of the steel pipe and the internal curing effect of the pre-wetted lightweight aggregate, the relative humidity in the UHPC is maintained, the expanding agent is promoted to continuously exert the expanding effect, and the problem that the expanding power is insufficient due to water shortage in the later hydration period of the expanding agent is solved; the pre-wetted lightweight aggregate and the expanding agent enable the core concrete to have the micro-expansion characteristic, so that the bonding strength and the hooping effect between the steel pipe and the core concrete are improved, and the problem of void generally existing in an existing steel pipe concrete structure is effectively solved.
