The invention discloses a suspended matter collecting device which comprises a shell, a displacement barrel, a filtering conveying belt and a submersible pump and is characterized in that an inlet channel, a collecting chamber, a filtering partition plate and a floating chamber are sequentially arranged in the shell from top to bottom; the filtering conveying belt is provided with a horizontal section and an inclined section; the displacement barrel is provided with a barrel body, a guide rod and a floating disc, the barrel body is in sliding fit with the inlet channel, and a guide sleeve is fixed to the filtering partition plate; the middle part of the guide rod is in sliding fit with the guide sleeve, and the upper end of the guide rod is fixedly connected with the barrel body; the lower end of the guide rod is fixedly connected with the floating disc; the floating disc is positioned in the floating chamber; a pumping port of the submersible pump is connected with the floating chamber. The problems that existing suspended solids enter a collecting chamber and can float again, new suspended solids and old suspended solids are left when the submersible pump stops working, and the filter conveying belt is harsh in conveying condition and poor in conveying effect can be solved at the same time. The invention further discloses a raw suspended matter collecting method.
