The invention provides a construction process for connecting a steel beam in foundation ring construction, which comprises the following steps of: pre-embedding and assembling a support body for supporting a foundation ring on the periphery of the foundation ring in advance; the connecting steel beam is located between the foundation ring and the supporting body, and the connecting steel beam is welded to the foundation ring and the supporting body so as to achieve installation of the foundation ring; during welding, the connecting steel beam and the foundation ring are welded firstly, and after welding is completed and cooling is conducted, the connecting steel beam and the supporting body on the outer side of the foundation ring are welded; when the connecting steel beam and the foundation ring are welded, welding is conducted from bottom to top in the height direction; the number of the connecting steel beams is multiple, the foundation ring serves as the symmetry center, the multiple connecting steel beams are symmetrically constructed, and in the symmetrical construction process, every two symmetrical connecting steel beams are constructed at the same time. According to the method, melting and other reactions caused by high-temperature welding are fully considered, the height change of the foundation ring is reduced to the maximum extent, and the requirement for the levelness of 2 mm is met.
