The invention discloses a fishway fish passing monitoring method using an underwater camera technology, and belongs to the technical field of fishways, and the method comprises the following steps: firstly, determining the installation positions and number of underwater cameras according to the fishway environment, and carrying out the conventional monitoring of the fishway fish passing condition through the underwater cameras which are fixed on a fishway and work underwater, the monitoring data is marked by the intelligent identification system through the switch and then is accessed to the storage device for storage, and the storage device is accessed to the cloud platform for remote control and preview; secondly, a data acquisition/controller is installed on the fishway site, and the controller is connected with a storage device, a switch and other site devices and used for acquiring the working state of the site devices and supporting remote operation; and finally, logging in the cloud platform on the PC to check the monitoring condition of the fishway, so that field equipment is managed, and the collected data is analyzed, processed and downloaded.
