The invention relates to an active metal soldering paste composition, soldering paste and a method for welding ceramic and metal. The composition comprises a binder and metal powder. The metal powder comprises active metal welding powder and weld-aid metal powder; the weld-aid metal powder comprises copper powder and/or copper-silver alloy powder; the active metal welding powder is alloy powder of copper, silver and active metal; based on the total weight of the metal powder, the content of the active metal is 1.5% by weight or more, the content of silver is 40-90% by weight, and the content of oxygen is 0.5% by weight or less. The active soldering paste composition is high in welding activity, and the welding quality and the bonding strength can be improved when the active soldering paste composition is used for welding metal and ceramic; and meanwhile, the material cost of the soldering paste can be reduced.
