The invention discloses a high-performance sludge inorganic artificial stone and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) sieving wet sludge to remove impurities; (2) carrying out aging treatment on the sludge; (3) dehydrating and drying the sludge; (4) crushing the sludge to obtain sludge powder; (5) calcining the sludge in a muffle furnace at the temperature of 1200 DEG C to obtain calcined sludge with certain activity; and (6) adding steel slag, an exciting agent and other materials into the calcined sludge powder to prepare the sludge inorganic artificial stone. The inorganic artificial stone prepared from the waste river sludge has the remarkable characteristics of stable performance, low cost, low carbon, environment friendliness and the like; meanwhile, the sludge is subjected to high-temperature calcination thermal excitation and alkali excitation composite treatment, so that the activity of the sludge is greatly excited, and the performance of the sludge inorganic artificial stone can be effectively improved.
