The invention discloses a bridge demolition method, and relates to the technical field of bridge demolition construction.The bridge demolition method comprises the following steps that an existing bridge is jacked, and a plurality of transverse sliding way beams are erected below the existing bridge; an adjusting sliding block assembly and a driving device are installed on each transverse sliding way beam, and the existing bridge is placed on the adjusting sliding block assemblies; a driving device is used for driving the adjusting sliding block assemblies to slide along the transverse sliding way beam, and the stress state of the existing bridge is adjusted through the multiple adjusting sliding block assemblies so that the stress state of the existing bridge can meet the preset requirement; after the existing bridge is driven by the adjusting sliding block assembly and the driving device to transversely move to the dismantling position, the existing bridge is dismantled. By means of the multiple transverse moving slide way beams and the adjusting sliding block assemblies on the transverse moving slide way beams, on the premise that heavy equipment is not used. The large-span movement of the bridge is completed, and the stress state of the bridge can be adjusted through the multiple adjusting sliding block assemblies in the moving process of the bridge.
