The invention discloses an energy-saving light decorative external wall panel and a production process thereof. The energy-saving light decorative external wall panel comprises a decorative protective layer and a mounting layer which is fixedly arranged on the back of the decorative protective layer and connected with a floor; the mounting layer comprises a functional layer, reinforcing ribs embedded in the back of the functional layer, and a reinforcing layer poured on the functional layer and the reinforcing ribs at the same time. The production process comprises the steps of S1, formwork installation, S2, formwork pouring and S3, maintenance. According to the wallboard, the functional layer and the reinforcing ribs are integrally poured on the decorative protection layer through concrete in a pouring connection mode, so that the wallboard is good in integrity, and the self weight of the wallboard is reduced under the condition that the structural strength is not reduced.
