The invention discloses a socket and spigot type elevator shaft safety protection structure and method and a construction method. The socket and spigot type elevator shaft safety protection structure comprises socket and spigot type embedded parts arranged on two opposite side walls of an elevator shaft and socket and spigot type steel pipes connected between the two side walls in a bridging mode. Wherein the socket and spigot type embedded parts are symmetrically and uniformly distributed on two side walls of an elevator shaft, and one socket and spigot type steel pipe is connected between each group of socket and spigot type embedded parts; and the socket type embedded part is bound on the elevator shaft steel structure in advance. The protection is plane protection, the safety and quality risks of traditional elevator shaft protection are avoided, manual carrying of formworks can be reduced, and the shaft construction cost is effectively reduced.
