The invention discloses a waterproof maintenance method for a steel structure roof. The waterproof maintenance method comprises the following steps: (1) rust removal treatment; (2) replacing accessories; (3) brushing an antirust agent; (4) seam treatment; (5) brushing a surface treating agent; and (6) pasting a waterproof layer. Through the design of rust removal treatment, accessory replacement, antirust agent brushing, joint treatment, surface treatment agent brushing and waterproof layer pasting, construction operation is easy and convenient, on one hand, the hidden danger that a steel plate is further rusted can be effectively eliminated, and on the other hand, the pasting stability of the waterproof layer at the joint can be effectively improved; the problems of roof water leakage and leakage at joints are comprehensively solved, and the service life of the steel structure roof is effectively prolonged.
