According to various embodiments, the trough holding device (200) may have: a holding receptacle (102) having a first coupling region (102k) and a holding region (102a) for holding a drainage trough extending in one direction; a holder (104) having a second coupling region (104k); wherein the first coupling region (102k) and the second coupling region (104k) are assembled to form a hinge (106) which provides a rotational degree of freedom (111) relative to each other for the holding receptacle (102) and the holding seat (104), said rotational degree of freedom being in said direction; and a locking device (108), which is designed, in a first state, to block the rotational degree of freedom (111) in such a way that the holding receptacle (102) and the holding seat (104) are locked to each other, and, in a second state, to release the rotational degree of freedom (111) in such a way that the holding receptacle (102) and the holding seat (104) can be moved relative to each other.
