The invention discloses a construction method for a mid-span closure section of a large-span cable-stayed bridge, which comprises the following steps of: 1, embedding an embedded part at the end part of the last section of cantilever pouring section of large and small mileages before concrete pouring of the last section of box girder cantilever section of the large and small mileages before mid-span closure; secondly, a mid-span closure section formwork is installed; 3, a pushing device is installed, the pushing device comprises pushing jacks with the same number as the pushing support embedded parts, and each pushing jack is provided with a pushing rod piece; fourthly, jacking force is applied; 5, locking the stiff skeleton; 6, the following steps are conducted in sequence: mounting of a bottom die, positioning of a prestressed pipeline in a bottom plate, mounting of an inner die, binding of top plate reinforcing steel bars of a midspan closure section and positioning of the prestressed pipeline in a top plate; and 7, the temporary closure beam prestressed steel beam is tensioned firstly, and then water in the counterweight water bag is discharged in the process of pouring the concrete of the mid-span closure section. The method has the characteristics of simplicity in operation and small external influence.
