The sunken greenbelt system comprises a vertical shaft arranged on the left side of a long-strip-shaped pit, and a planting soil layer, a medium sand filtering layer, permeable geotextile and a gravel layer which are arranged in the pit from top to bottom in sequence; a permeable purification water pipe which transversely extends is arranged in the gravel layer; a cover plate is arranged at the upper end of the vertical shaft, a plurality of water inlet holes are formed in the cover plate, a rainwater overflow pipe is arranged in the vertical shaft, and the left part of the purification water pipe extends into the vertical shaft; the device has the advantages that when rainwater is much, redundant rainwater can be drained in time in the greenbelt, when rainwater is little, the greenbelt can slowly release the rainwater or stop releasing the rainwater, and the good water seepage, purification and drainage functions of the greenbelt are kept all the time.
