The escape door structurally comprises a mounting frame, a door leaf and a limiting unit, the door leaf is arranged in an enclosed space formed by mutual enclosing of the mounting frame, and a sealing strip is arranged between the door leaf and the mounting frame; the opening method includes the steps that when the limiting unit limits the door leaf, the door leaf is in a first state, the door leaf and the mounting frame can only be closed or opened inwards at the moment, and when the limiting unit releases limiting of the door leaf, the door leaf is in a second state, and the door leaf and the mounting frame can be opened inwards at the moment. And at the moment, the door leaf and the mounting frame can be freely switched between closing and bidirectional opening. The door leaf can be switched between the inward opening state and the outward opening state, the escape door has the advantages that the occupied space of the escape door is not increased, installation can be achieved in a limited space, and meanwhile the good sealing performance is achieved.
