Ground marking bead flow sensor
A ground marking bead flow sensor is provided in which a bead flow sensor module includes a housing, a beam, and a sensor. The beam extends into a flow channel of the housing through which the bead stream and compressed air flow. The sensor outputs a signal indicative of the impact of the bead on the beam. A system including a bead flow sensor module includes a compressed air source, a bead hopper, and a bead dispenser. A compressed air source delivers a flow of compressed air to the bead hopper. A stream of beads carried by compressed air is discharged from the bead hopper along a flow path connecting the bead hopper and the bead dispenser. A bead flow sensor module positioned along the flow path outputs a signal from which a bead flow through the bead dispenser is determined.
