The invention discloses a side guiding carrier and a parking system, the parking system comprises a garage and a plurality of parking spaces arranged in the garage, the plane of the garage is provided with a running guide rail, and the running guide rail comprises a transverse guide rail, a longitudinal guide rail and a reversing guide rail which are arranged independently or crosswise; a plurality of side guide carriers are arranged on the running guide rail; the height of the running guide rail is smaller than the ground clearance of the carrier chassis; the guide piece of the carrier makes contact with the side face of the longitudinal guide rail/transverse guide rail/reversing guide rail, and the carrier is guided to move along the longitudinal guide rail/transverse guide rail/reversing guide rail. The system adopts the mode that the carriers move along the longitudinal guide rails or the transverse guide rails or the reversing guide rails, so that the carriers are not limited to enter and exit from the vehicle bottom in the length direction (longitudinal) of the vehicle during no-load, parking spaces and carrying driving routes are conveniently and flexibly planned, the driving distance is shortened, and the problem of path blockage caused by simultaneous operation of multiple carriers can be greatly relieved; and the carrying efficiency and the parking garage site utilization rate can be improved.
