The invention relates to an electric drive for a blender drum, comprising a high-voltage DC power supply (HVN) to which at least one battery (B), a converter (SR) and at least one interface (IF) for connecting a stationary power supply are connected, the at least one battery (B) being charged solely via at least one external interface, a controller (eDCU) being provided, the controller controls energy flow from and to components coupled to the high voltage DC power grid (HVN). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for operating such an electric drive.
