The gypsum product with high water resistance comprises gypsum, a geopolymer and a water reducing agent, the geopolymer is prepared from industrial waste and an alkaline activator, and in the alkaline activator, the dosage of an alkaline substance is not higher than 2% in mass fraction in terms of sodium oxide; the preparation method of the high-water-resistance gypsum product comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing gypsum, a geopolymer and a water reducing agent to obtain a mixture; adding water into the mixture, and uniformly stirring to obtain gypsum slurry; and pouring the gypsum slurry into a mold for molding to obtain the gypsum product. The gypsum product disclosed by the invention is suitable for decoration and decoration of buildings, and is particularly suitable for decoration and decoration of family houses.
