The invention relates to the technical field of civil construction, in particular to a retaining wall inverted filter construction method which comprises the following steps: excavating the position of a retaining wall, erecting a formwork on one side during earth excavation, and adopting a soil formwork on the other side; pouring a retaining wall foundation or a cushion layer, and pre-burying reinforcing steel bars before pouring; the embedded steel bars and the split bolts are welded, and the formwork is tied; cutting an inclined surface at the end of one side of the water drain pipe, and forming holes in the periphery of the pipe end of the side; steel wire balls and graded broken stones are loaded into the pipe end on the cut side, the steel wire balls are arranged on the inner side, and the graded broken stones are arranged on the outer side; two vertical limiting steel bars are inserted into one side, far away from the graded broken stones, of the water drain pipe corresponding to the steel wire ball; inserting the cut end of the water drain pipe into soil; and normal concrete pouring is performed. According to the invention, the construction process is simplified, the workload of earth excavation and backfilling is reduced, the use amount of broken stones is also reduced, and the construction cost is also reduced while the construction period is accelerated.
