The invention discloses a shield-like loess cave dwelling tunneling work station which comprises a supporting main body, supporting legs are arranged on the two sides of the supporting main body, a walking mechanism is arranged on the supporting legs, a telescopic mechanism which stretches out and draws back is arranged on the supporting main body, and a tunneling head used for excavating a cave dwelling is arranged at the stretching-out end of the telescopic mechanism. A feeding mechanism located below the tunneling head is arranged between the two supporting legs, moving mechanisms used for pushing the feeding mechanism to intermittently advance along with the tunneling head are arranged on the inner sides of the two supporting legs, and the length of the feeding mechanism is not smaller than the length of the telescopic mechanism after the telescopic mechanism is completely unfolded. The tunneling head comprises a rotary cutter head and a motor, serrated cutters are arranged on the end face of the front side of the rotary cutter head at intervals, a plurality of variable-diameter cutter sets are circumferentially distributed on the rear side of the rotary cutter head at intervals, notches which are used for dust to fall out and are communicated front and back are formed in the rotary cutter head, and a discharging mechanism for conveying the dust out of the cave dwelling is arranged below the feeding mechanism. Supporting can be conducted during excavation, time is saved, construction efficiency is improved, and potential safety hazards are reduced.
