The invention relates to the field of river flood fighting, and discloses a sediment deposition system for river flood fighting, which comprises a concrete base and a deposition device mounted on the concrete base, the cross section of the concrete base is inverted T-shaped, and the deposition device is mounted on one side, close to the upstream, of the concrete base. The deposition device comprises a silt storage tank, two material guide pipes, a silt storage pool, a pipe chain and a driving mechanism, the silt storage tank is installed on the concrete base, the two material guide pipes are installed at the bottom of the silt storage tank in parallel, the silt storage pool is installed on the bank sides of the two sides of a river, the ends of the material guide pipes are located above the silt storage pool, and the pipe chain sequentially penetrates through the two material guide pipes and is connected in a closed loop mode; and a driving mechanism for driving the pipe chain to move along the material guide pipe is mounted at the silt storage tank. By arranging the concrete base, the silt storage tank for blocking the gravel can be formed in the riverbed, and meanwhile, the gravel can be conveyed into the silt storage tanks on the two sides of the river bank in cooperation with the deposition device, so that the gravel is prevented from flowing into the reservoir, and the silt in the reservoir is prevented from being increased.
