The invention provides a structural arrangement and construction method of a multifunctional cavern of an underground powerhouse. The multifunctional cavern comprises a cast-in-place reinforced concrete lining, a plurality of prefabricated concrete columns, a plurality of prefabricated reinforced concrete beams, a plurality of light prefabricated concrete floors and a light prefabricated concrete wall. According to the structural arrangement and the construction method thereof, the ventilation and safety hole and the wire outlet hole are combined into the multifunctional cavern, and the structural arrangement and the construction method thereof which make full use of the space of the cavern are formed in a prefabricated component assembly mode. According to the principle that one hole has multiple purposes, the arrangement of the caverns is reduced, meanwhile, the project investment is reduced, and the construction period is shortened.
