The invention discloses a gravel bed tunnel tunnel maintenance structure and a maintenance method thereof. The gravel bed tunnel tunnel maintenance structure comprises connecting pieces, stand columns arranged on the side walls of the two sides of a tunnel and arc-shaped supporting plates with arch feet erected on the stand columns and connected through the connecting pieces. The connecting piece comprises a first connecting plate and a second connecting plate which are arranged at the obtuse included angle between the arc-shaped supporting plate and the stand column, the first connecting plate is connected with the arc-shaped supporting plate in an attached mode, and the second connecting plate is connected with the first connecting plate and connected with the stand column in an attached mode. The connecting piece is arranged on the stand column to be connected with the arc-shaped supporting plate, the first connecting plate and the second connecting plate of the connecting piece are connected with the arc-shaped supporting plate and the stand column in an attached mode, force brought by external expansion of the arc-shaped supporting plate can be effectively blocked, and the connecting stability of the arc-shaped supporting plate and the stand column is enhanced; the hidden danger of safety supporting caused by infirm connection of the arc-shaped supporting plate and the stand column is avoided, and in addition, the risk of upwarp of the stand column can be avoided through the arrangement of the locking device.
