The invention discloses an auxiliary device for steel structure installation. The first clamping block is connected with an expansion unit; the lower side of the first connecting column is connected with a supporting assembly. After supporting is completed, the position of a second connecting column is finely adjusted through a first lead screw and a second lead screw, so that the position of a grid column is finely adjusted, and the problem that in the prior art, after the grid column is supported and fixed through a supporting column, the grid column and a supporting steel pipe are staggered is solved; the rotating position of the first connecting frame is automatically positioned, so that switching operation is more convenient and faster, in the clamping process, the lower end of the grid column is clamped through a third linkage block, a second clamping block and a first clamping block, the clamping area and the clamping span of the grid column are increased, and the phenomenon of deformation of the grid column in the position adjusting process is avoided; and a third linkage block and a second clamping block can be folded downwards, so that the storage space is reduced, and the device is more convenient to store and transfer.
