The invention discloses a method for building a desert road. The method comprises the following steps: (1) carrying out construction lofting; (2) removing the original ground; (3) pushing and building a sand foundation; (4) layering and initial pressing; (5) leveling and re-pressing; (6) vibrating and rolling; (7) geotextile and natural gravel are laid; (8) rolling the surface layer; (9) sprinkling water, rolling and maintaining; (10) paving a pavement base layer; (11) vibrating and rolling; (12) after vibration rolling, paving desert sand, sprinkling a sandy soil curing agent on the desert sand, adding water on site, stirring the sandy soil curing agent and the desert sand, and paving to form a gravel base layer; (13) after sufficient curing, sprinkling water, rolling and curing; and (14) asphalt surface construction is conducted, the construction efficiency can be greatly improved, and the compaction degree and the rebound modulus of a road can be improved.
