The embodiment of the invention provides a pavement detection robot and a pavement detection method. According to the pavement detection robot, the position change measurement unit is adopted to obtain the position change information of the pavement information acquisition unit, so that the processor can correct the first pavement information acquired by the pavement information acquisition unit based on the position change information of the pavement information acquisition unit to obtain the second pavement information. When the road surface detection robot is used for detecting a bumpy road surface, or when the road surface detection robot detects a road surface under a severe weather condition, or when the road surface detection robot is impacted by an external force during road surface detection, the road surface detection robot can detect the bumpy road surface. The pavement information acquisition unit in the pavement detection robot may generate position movement, while the pavement detection robot provided by the embodiment of the invention can correct information errors caused by position movement of the pavement information acquisition unit in any scene, so that the pavement information obtained by detection has relatively high precision.
