The invention discloses a stay wire type side slope monitoring and early warning system which comprises a side slope mountain and a side slope body, an excitation assembly and an early warning assembly are arranged on the side slope mountain, and a stay wire assembly is arranged on the side slope body; the excitation assembly comprises a protection box fixedly connected to one side of the top end of the side slope mountain, an excitation piece is arranged in the protection box, one end of a lead is arranged on the excitation piece, and the other end of the lead extends out of the protection box and is fixedly connected with the other side of the top end of the side slope mountain through a fixing piece. The two ends of the wire pulling assembly correspond to the lead and the bottom end of the slope body respectively. The early warning assembly is electrically connected with the excitation piece. The invention has the characteristics of simple technology, safety, reliability, good stability, good weatherability, strong anti-interference capability, simple and reusable equipment, convenient construction, simple later operation, low cost and long service life.
