The invention relates to a multi-stage buckling restrained brace which comprises a restraining component, a first-stage core material, stiffening rib plates arranged at the two ends of the first-stage core material and a plurality of second-stage core materials connected with the first-stage core material through limiting devices. The limiting device comprises a limiting stopper and a limiting groove, the limiting stopper is fixedly connected with the first-stage core material and the stiffening rib plate, the limiting groove is formed in the limiting stopper, a limiting block capable of sliding in the limiting groove is arranged at the end of the second-stage core material, and the second-stage core material is stretched or compressed after the limiting block abuts against the end of the limiting groove. By means of innovative design, the limiting stoppers, the stiffening rib plates and the ends of the first-stage core materials form a whole with large rigidity, when the second-stage core materials are pulled or pressed, the bearing capacity of the second-stage core materials is directly transmitted to a building through the whole, and the structure is balanced in stress, reasonable, high in space utilization rate and capable of being used for building construction.
