The invention discloses a sound insulation partition wall and a mounting method thereof. The sound insulation partition wall comprises heaven and earth keel sets which are symmetrically distributed up and down, vertical keels which are vertically arranged and distributed at equal intervals are arranged between the heaven and earth keel sets, sound insulation cotton is arranged between every two adjacent vertical keels, and every two oppositely-arranged sound insulation cotton form one set and are distributed between the heaven and earth keel sets at equal intervals; transverse keels distributed at equal intervals in the vertical direction are arranged between the sound insulation cotton, I-shaped connecting pieces distributed at equal intervals are fixed to the transverse keels, and wallboards are connected between the adjacent I-shaped connecting pieces in a clamped mode. The installation position is provided when the vertical keel is installed, the sound insulation cotton does not need to be cut during installation, the installation efficiency is greatly improved, and the sound insulation performance is better due to the fact that the sound insulation cotton is not cut; meanwhile, the arranged rubber cushion layer blocks the sound bridge, the bridge piece blocks the sound bridge while connecting the two vertical keels, and the broken bridge sound insulation effect is achieved.
