The invention provides an open caisson construction auxiliary device and a construction method. The open caisson construction auxiliary device comprises a center shaft, a truss, a center drill bit fixed to the lower portion of the center shaft and auxiliary drill bits fixed to the truss and distributed around the center drill bit. The truss is further provided with an axial position early warning device, and the axial position early warning device is used for conducting real-time monitoring and early warning on the axis of the open caisson. The truss is arranged on the inner side of the open caisson, and the center drill bit and the auxiliary drill bits are used for excavating the inner side of the open caisson and sinking the open caisson section by section until the open caisson reaches a preset elevation. By means of the device, deflection or inclination of the open caisson can be reduced or avoided, the structure is simple, the automation degree is high, and turnover and repeated use can be achieved.
